Text Editor Jedit3.0

• Support for the "capitalize" option of the menu "Tool">"Change Case". Also support for the AppleScript "capitalize" option of command "change case".
• Fixed the bug that some regular expression searchs for Japanese strings were not correctly executed when the script code had not been determined by the Find dialog.
• Fixed a memory bug arround the Find dialog.
• Fixed a memory bug arround the Navigation Service Save dialog.

• Search Function
  1. Support for the minimum pattern matching of regular expression of "*", "+"and "?". If you add the mark "?" to "*", "+"or "?", the minimum pattern matching will be conducted.
     
     *? Match 0 or more times with minimum pattern matching
     +? Match 1 or more times with minimum pattern matching
     ?? Match 0 or 1 time with minimum pattern matching
     
     For example, If you search ".*bbb" in the text "aaa bbb bbb bbb cccc", the string "aaa bbb bbb bbb" will be matched. But if you search ".*?bbb" in it, the string "aaa bbb" will be matched.
     
  2. Support for the multiple line search pattern of regular expression which contains return codes "\r" in its search pattern.
  3. Fixed the bug that the next groups were failed to match when the previous regular expression group {} contained a pattern such as ".*" or ".+".
  4. Support for the new sample pattern popup menu in the find dialog. You can input the frequent regular expressions easily from this menu. Using ResEdit, you can modify and add these patterns which are stored as #STR 3000 in the resource fork.
  5. Support for the drag & drop function in the multi-file search list of the find dialog. You can drag & drop files, folders or aliases directly onto the file list.
  6. Alias folders can be specified in the file adding dialog of the multi-file search list of the find dialog.
  7. Fixed a bug that binary files did not appear in the multi-file search list of the find dialog even when the binary files were set to display.
  8. The font of the input field of the find dialog synchronizes with the keyboard script and the searching is conducted based on this script. You can set this synchronization to off by the general preference dialog.
  9. In the mark list save-as dialog, the file format "Text file" and "Offset list" are newly supported. When saved as "Offset list", full path names, offsets and the contents are saves as tab separeted records.
  10. Up and down arrow keys are supported in the mark list window.
  11. The cmd+. abort is supported in the multi-file searching.
  12. Fixed a bug that the replacing speed extremely slowed down when the HTML auto Coloring mode was on.
  13. Fixed a bug that the regular expression search sometimes passed over target string when null codes were contained in the search region.
• File open / save
  1. Support for the opening of the little-endian byte-order UTF-16 files which appear in Windows OS.
  2. Fixed a bug that 0xfeff (ZERO-WIDTH NO-BREAK SPACE) was saved at the top of the UTF-8 files.
  3. Fixed a bug that an extra line was added after the image object when it was opened or saved as a SimpleText read-only file.
  4. Fixed a bug that the resource fork was not read in when the locked file was opened.
  5. Auto saving function was improved so that the lapsed timer pauses when the document is not active.
  6. Auto saving will not be conducted when the size of the document is zero.
  7. When the saving error, which code is -5000, occurs, the error message "accessDenied - Incorrect access for this file/folder" will be displayed.
  8. The menu "Save as..." and "Save Selection..." were separated to two different menus.
• Preferences
  1. Support for the cross cursor in the cursor type menu of the General Preference. This cursor will be useful to compare the indent depth of the separate lines.
  2. Fixed a bug that the scroll box was used to clatter up and down when the scroll bar was clicked to page scroll. This phenomenon was likely to happen when the scroll speed was set to slow in the General Preference.
  3. The numbers more than 5 digits cannot be entered in the window size input field of New Document Preference.
• Print
  1. Support for the enlargement of the font size in the Print Preference.
  2. The header and footer are printed in the default font which can be referred in the menu "Format">"Ruler Font...".
  3. Fixed a bug that the vertical ruled line of line number display sometimes became discontinuous.
  4. Fixed a bug that the settings of "Print Setup" were not reflected in the execution of the "Print One".
  5. The menu "Print..." and "Print Selection..." were separated to two different menus.
• Tools
  1. Support for the menu "Remove Null Code" in the menu "Tools".
  2. Support for the menu "Change Case" in the menu "Tools".
• AppleScript
  1. Support for the "inhibit redraw" and "allow redraw" command. The script execution speed will increase nearly 2 times when redrawing is suppressed by these commands.
  2. Support for the "clear undo" command which clears the undo buffer and releases memory. New JMultiReplace Rev1.0.5 is using this command.

  3. Support for the "remove null" command which detects and remove null codes.
  4. Support for the "change case to upper/lower" commands.
  5. Fixed memory leak when option parameters were specified in the "Find", "Replace" or "Justify" commands.
  6. The file type '****' ,which is set by "new file" command, is changed to 'TEXT' when the file is being saved.
  7. Fixed a bug that the program became unstable after the find dialog was closed by "close" command.
  8. Fixed a bug that "OpenChecker" always returned 'false' in the result variable even after the normal execution.
  9. Fixed a bug that the properties "resizable" and "printing fontSize" of "window" object conflicted.
  10. Fixed a bug that the program terminated abnormally when "selection" object was specified in the "to" parameter of "move" command.
  11. The alarm message, which tells the file size is over 32KB as SimpleText file, is suppressed when it is saved by AppleScript "save" command.
  12. The beep sound, which tells the string was not found in searching, is suppressed when it is searched by AppleScript "find" or "replace" command.
• Others
  1. Support for the up/down arrow and return keys in the Macro Window.
  2. The Macro Window will be hidden when Jedit3.0 becomes inactive.
  3. Fixed a bug that the folder items are showed redundantly in the Macro Menu when its folder name is case-changed from Finder.
  4. The number display at the lower left corner of the document window will switches circularly to line number, paragraph number and size of free memory by clicking it. And the % ratio of the line or paragraph number is also displayed.
  5. Fixed a bug that Undo/Redo execution speed became very slow when the HTML auto Coloring mode was on.
  6. Support for ".asp" and ".inc" as the HTML file extensions.
  7. Support for php3 tag "<? ?>" as one of comment tag in HTML Coloring.
  8. HTML coloring method was improved especially in comment tag coloring.
